DESCRIPTION

Xylene is a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor, composed of three isomers: meta-xylene, ortho-xylene, and para-xylene. It's a common solvent used in various industrial and consumer products. 
 
Boiling point: typically around 137-144°C
Density: 0.86-0.88 g/mL at 20°C
Classification: Volatile organic compound, Class 3 Flammable Liquid.

The thinner can also be used for clean-up of spraying equipment etc.

    Flash point: The flash point of xylene, a common solvent, varies slightly depending on the specific isomer and whether it's a closed cup or open cup measurement. Generally, the flash point of xylene is around 27°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F). 

    Chemical formula: The chemical formula for xylene is C₈H₁₀. It's also represented as (CH₃)₂C₆H₄. Xylene is actually a group of three isomers, ortho-xylene, meta-xylene, and para-xylene, all having the same chemical formula but with different arrangements of the methyl groups on the benzene ring.

    Shelf life: The typical shelf life is 3 years unopened and 6 months after opening.
