Product Overview

DESCRIPTION

RM-Zinc Primer WB forms part of our Rust Mechanic suite of products to combat unwanted rust. It is a New Zealand manufactured water based, zinc-loaded acrylic primer.  It is specifically designed for use on metal roofs, offering reliable protection and durability, developed primarily for New Zealand outdoor conditions.

RM-Zinc Primer WB is ideally suited as a primer for exposed Colorsteel, galvanized, and zinc metal roofs, and steel structures.

RM-Zinc Primer WB can be used with our Rust Mechanic WB-Water Based rust spot treatment and it can be coated over with most Acrylic top coat paints, but we do recommend using our ClimoPlate WB compatible membrane top coat as a full coating solution.

RM-Zinc Primer WB is a performance orientated coating ideally for both residential and commercial applications.

Roof requires one coat only and One (1) Litre will cover approximately 4 to 6 Square Meters, depending on roof surface and substrate.

  • 4ltr will cover approximately 16 to 24 Square Meters
  • 10ltr will cover approximately 40 to 60 Square Meters
  • 20ltr will cover approximately 80 to 120 Square Meters
  • 200ltr will cover approximately 800 to 1200 Square Meters

RM-Zinc Primer WB is intended primarily for surface application by rolling or brushing.

The colour is Grey. It must be painted over with a top coat after 48hrs drying and within 10 days after application.

We recommend our ClimoPlate WB product as a Top Coat , although it can also be painted over with most acrylic roof top coat paints.
