DESCRIPTION

Biosymph’s Water Based ClimoPlate™ - WB has been designed to meet the needs of the future. This product is an aqueous APEO (Alkylphenol ethoxylates) AND FORMALDEHYDE FREE Acrylate copolymer bitumen modified compound, used for flexible interior/exterior coatings.
This coating has an UV curable and cross linkable component which is initiated when the film surface is exposed to sunlight/UV, thus increasing the durability and performance to offer excellent colour fast and long-lasting UV stability. This cross-linking feature will also act as a self-repairing (self-healing) mechanism making this product ideal as a roof membrane and coating.
This coating has good anti-carbonation properties and offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates making it ideal as a roof coating with very good dirt resistance, while allowing water vapor permeability.
ClimoPlate™ - WB will provide a strong, durable long-lasting and effective finish. Its remarkable flexibility ensures durability and resilience and boasts fast drying properties. It offers anticorrosive properties which provide further protection against environmental degradation. Moreover, its water washup feature adds convenience to the application process.
ClimoPlate™ - WB has been specifically but not exclusively formulated to act as a topcoat over bitumen-based sealers such as Biosymph’s GilsoFlex™ and FlexsoTar™ products. The chemistry used in this coating maximises performance with excellent durability. This product is non-toxic and can safely be used in applications where it comes into contact with drinkable water, animals and children.
- 4ltr will cover approximately 18 to 12 Square Meters
- 10ltr will cover approximately 20 to 60 Square Meters
- 20ltr will cover approximately 40 to 120 Square Meters
ClimoPlate™ -WB is intended primarily for surface application by brushing, rolling or airless spraying.
A re-coat might be required after 10+ years.

Dry Schedule film (Touch Dry): 21 °C /60 minutes.
Full Cure: 10-14 days
Drinking Water Safe: After 10 days curing and initial rinse (rain/hose/pressure)
Toxicity: None
Volume solids: 50% average
Shelf Life: 24 Months
Hazard: Non-hazardous, no labelling required
Theoretical Coverage Rate: 2-3 sq metres per litre depending on application thickness
Application: brush, roller or airless spray 525 or 527 tip
Recoat if required: 4 to 6 hrs
Number of coats: 2 (application dependant)
Bleed blocking: To achieve bleed blocking, apply 1 coat and allow 48 hour cure to encapsulate any potential bleed though.
Storage, Handling Safety: Please avoid extreme temperatures when storing (Below 0°C and above 40°C) as the product can gel if exposed to these extreme temperatures. The self-life is typically 7 months from the purchase date, if stored in ideal conditions.
