ClimoPlate SB™ is a New Zealand manufactured Alkyd / Bitumen co-polymer, solvent / water emulsion based top coat paint developed primarily for New Zealand outdoor conditions.
ClimoPlate SB™ is specifically but not exclusively formulated to act as a high gloss top coat over bitumen based sealers and primers such as our GilsoFlex™ and FlexsoTar™ products. It is ideally suited for painting of exposed primed metal roofs and primed steel structures. It is compatible and suitable to be used on Decramastic and Coloursteel roofs.
ClimoPlate SB™ can also be used on other substrates like timber, plywood etc.
Climoplate top coat paints are the best roof paint NZ has.
Because of its disinfecting effect, it will retard the growth of moss or lichen.
Substrate surface preparation requirements are minimal although a primer coat is recommended.
Typically a roof requires one top coat paint only and One (1) Litre will cover approximately 4 to 8 Square Meters, depending on roof surface and substrate.
- 4ltr will cover approximately 16 to 32 Square Meters
- 10ltr will cover approximately 40 to 80 Square Meters
- 20ltr will cover approximately 80 to 160 Square Meters
ClimoPlate SB™ is intended primarily for surface application by brushing, rolling or airless spraying using a 515 spray nozzle tip.
A re-coat might be required after 6 to 10 years.
We do carry our own standard colour range but please ask via "eMail" if you would like us to match a specific colour for you, and we will advise.
